Shatta Wale has lambasted the current government over the taxes that has been imposed on betting.

Shatta Wale argued that with the imposition of the taxes, it will be almost impossible for the youth to make money to take care of their families.

He added that the Nana Addo lead government has made it difficult and almost impossible for young men to become rich. The government of Ghana introduced a tax on betting and lottery winnings as part of the 2023 budget.

This tax, known as the "Gaming Tax," was set at 10% on all betting, lottery, and gaming winnings.

The law took effect in August 2023, and its implementation was part of broader efforts by the government to increase revenue through taxation of the rapidly growing betting and gaming industry.

Shatta Wale doesn't see the sense in the government taking ten percent of every money earned from betting. He feels the government is ripping off the youth.
